dotCMS now offers native SDKs for PHP and .NET, making it significantly easier to build, integrate, and manage applications using these popular technology stacks. These SDKs remove the friction of custom API integrations and provide a first-class connection between dotCMS and PHP or .NET applications—including full support for rendering those applications inside the Universal Visual Editor (UVE).
With the new SDKs, PHP and .NET front ends can participate fully in visual editing, layout management, preview, and Future Time Machine workflows—just like JavaScript-based sites. The PHP SDK includes built-in support for widely used frameworks such as Laravel and Symfony, while the .NET SDK aligns naturally with enterprise Microsoft environments. The result is faster integrations, less boilerplate, and a consistent editing experience across technologies.
For Developers
Integrate PHP and .NET applications with dotCMS using native SDKs instead of custom-built API layers.
Enable full UVE functionality—including visual editing, layout changes, previews, and Future Time Machine—for non-JavaScript front ends.
Reduce development time with framework-specific support for Laravel, Symfony, and .NET.
Maintain existing technology stacks while adding modern headless CMS capabilities.
For Content & Marketing Teams
Use the same visual editing and page-building experience in UVE, regardless of whether the site is built with PHP, .NET, or JavaScript.
Preview and edit real front-end pages visually without depending on developers for every change.
Work consistently across mixed-technology environments.
PHP Website Integration
A team running a Laravel or Symfony site integrates with dotCMS using the PHP SDK, allowing editors to visually manage and preview content directly in the UVE.
.NET Enterprise Applications
An enterprise organization with a .NET-based web platform connects dotCMS through the .NET SDK, enabling content-driven updates without changing frameworks or tooling.
Legacy Application Modernization
Organizations extend existing PHP or .NET applications with headless CMS and visual editing capabilities from dotCMS—without rewriting or replacing their front-end architecture.
