The Configuration and Server Administration section documents all of the steps and procedures required to get dotCMS configured, and running. It also includes information about routine maintenance tasks such as backup, and pointers to troubleshoot common problems.
Currently, the simplest and most commonly recommended way to get started deploying dotCMS is through a Docker container. This method is emphasized in our Quick Start Guide. Containers make a variety of configurations, such as blue/green deployments — i.e., parallel environments running different versions to promote gradual transition — much simpler to enact.
Other subsections cover system maintenance through the admin panel, midstream considerations such as performance optimization, and more.
