dotCMS Cloud Fair Usage Policy
This Fair Usage Policy (“Policy”) defines reasonable and intended use of the dotCMS Cloud services. This Policy applies to all customers using dotCMS Cloud under a valid subscription, order form, or other written agreement with dotCMS.
1. Usage Entitlements

The usage limits described in this Policy are not hard limits. Exceeding stated usage levels will not automatically result in service interruption, throttling, suspension, or termination.
5. Sustained Excess Usage
If a customer consistently exceeds the usage levels associated with their subscribed package, dotCMS may notify the customer and work collaboratively to:
Review and suggest ways to optimize configurations, usage patterns, or architecture to reduce excess usage or
Recommend resizing or adjusting the subscription to better align with actual usage.
dotCMS reserves the right to require a contract adjustment where sustained usage materially exceeds purchased entitlements and cannot or will not be reasonably optimized.
6. Monitoring and Measurement
dotCMS monitors usage for operational, security, and capacity planning purposes. All usage calculations are performed using dotCMS systems and are considered authoritative.
7. Policy Updates
dotCMS may update this Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on the dotCMS website and become effective upon publication.
