Internship

You will be part of a fast-growing, private equity-backed software business. The internship will involve hands-on participation in lead generation of sales opportunities across the direct outbound and partner channel. You will learn how to effectively perform market segmentation, source relevant information, build sales funnel of cold opportunities, craft reach out processes, and experiment with product positioning and messaging - with the goal of maximizing leads for the sales team.

We are looking to recruit a sharp, entrepreneurial, and hard-working individual hungry for challenges and career growth, and eager to learn in a dynamic, fast-paced, and remote environment. The analyst will develop skills relevant to a future career in entrepreneurship, sales, marketing, consulting, technology, and startups.

The internship is unpaid, however you can expect significant mentorship from dotCMS’ leadership who have deep experience in M&A and Technology strategy, operations and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Market research for segmentation
  • Research and build a list of prospect customers and partners
  • Identify relevant persona within target prospects and find their contact information
  • Prepare communications (email automation etc.) to reach target audience

Required Qualifications

  • Highly motivated with a strong interest in sales, marketing & technology
  • Interest in working in a private equity backed company
  • Resourcefulness and persistence
  • Willingness to commit to the required weekly time commitment and to minimum term
  • Currently enrolled in a top-tier graduate or undergraduate program
